DeRidder: Nearly 40 area employers with positions to fill will participate in the 2012 Beauregard Job Fair, geared for military veterans and local residents looking for work. Job seekers looking to join or return to the workforce are encouraged to attend the hiring event Friday, November 2, from 8 a.m. to noon at the Beauregard Parish Fairgrounds, 506 West Dr., DeRidder. The first hour of the job fair, from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m., is reserved for veterans and their spouses only. Beginning at 9 a.m., the general public will be admitted. Businesses representing a variety of industries, including some seeking to fill immediate openings, will participate. Some of the employers scheduled to participate include Amerisafe, 5Linx Telecommunications, Coca-Cola Refreshments, Leesville Rehabilitation Hospital, Louisiana CAT, PAX LLC, Polaris Engineering, Polaris Construction, RoyOMartin Lumber Co., Sentinel Transportation and Shaw Modular Solutions. Job seekers should dress for an interview, bring identification and résumé copies. The job fair is sponsored by the Beauregard Business & Career Solutions Center, Greater Beauregard Chamber of Commerce and Vernon Parish Chamber of Commerce.
