Governor Jindal Signs 150 Bills into Law

Baton Rouge: Governor Bobby Jindal announced he has signed bills passed by the Legislature into law, bringing the total number of bills signed for the 2012 Regular Legislative Session to 150 bills.

HB 12 by Rep. Abramson relates to expert witnesses for class certification purposes.

HB 99 by Rep. Henry relates to the La. Racketeering Act.

HB 123 by Rep. Lopinto relates to restitution for expenses incurred from an escape or attempted escape from any place where an offender is legally confined.

HB 158 by Rep. Badon relates to the Municipal Court of New Orleans.

HB 191 by Rep. Greene relates to grand juries.

HB 219 by Rep. Willmott relates to home improvement fraud.

HB 324 by Rep. Danahay designates a portion of Highway 12 as the "Purple Heart Recipient Highway".
