Election Date

Open General: Saturday, November 16, 2013

Early Voting begins on Saturday, November 2, 2013 and ends on Saturday, November 9, 2013 (Closed on Sunday, November 3, 2013.)

Voting Early

All registered voters may vote early at the Registrar of Voters Office or at an alternate site designated for early voting. You do not need a reason to vote early. A directory list of the Registrar of Voters Office by parish is available online at:

Voting on Election Day

The polls open at 7:00 a.m. for Saturday elections and close at 8:00 p.m. Voters in line at 8:00 p.m. will be allowed to vote.

Photo Identification

Be prepared to provide photo identification to vote early or on election day. You can obtain a free Louisiana special identification card by presenting your voter registration information card to the Office of Motor Vehicles.
